Eric Diaz

Eric was born in Venezuela into a musical, Christian family. His father was a pastor and his mother, a pianist and choir director. Eric started his musical studies at the age of five, and following high school, he studied at the Conservatory of Music of Maracay and the prestigious Violin Academy of Latin America. He had the opportunity to play in many different orchestras in Venezuela.

Eric moved to the United States in 1996 and continued private classes at Seminole Community College. He has played in many Central Florida orchestras; Orlando Philharmonic, The Imperial Symphony Orchestra of Lakeland, Flagler Symphony Orchestra, Space Coast Pop Orchestra and Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, just to mention a few.

He has participated in musical mission trips through “Global Mission Project” under the direction of Camp Kirkland, playing in Israel, Cuba and Hungary. He has had the privilege to accompany many Christian artists like Charles Billingsley, Aline Barros, Ana Paula Valadão, Sissaundra Lewis, Christian Cuevas, Ana Nobrega, Marcos Witt and Hector Hermosillo.

Currently, he is the Worship Coordinator for the Spanish and Brazilian ministries at First Baptist Church of Orlando, and also serves as first chair violinist in the church orchestra.

Eric is now working on receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Services at the Baptist College of Florida.
