Susan Mathews
Susan has spent a lifetime investing in the art of music. Her youth was filled with piano lessons, flute, hand bells, and singing in ensembles and choirs at church and school. She went on to attend The Florida State University School of Music where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education with a piano principal and voice secondary.
She has been a career choral director in Florida and Texas with extensive experience in public, private, and church-based choral directing and music education. She has led student-choir trips throughout the United States and Central America. Her teaching experience ranges from 5th grade through high school in both choral and orchestral music as well as musical theatre. She has taught private piano and voice and has coached many students through auditions and performances with excellent outcomes.
She believes with her whole heart that music is a divine gift from God, meant for all people to engage in and enjoy. Susan is a native of Brevard County, Florida and enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, and their three sons, Jake, Lincoln, and Adam.
